The Best Friend of Charleston arrived in Atlanta, Georgia in time for a December 25, 2007 celebration of her first trip in Charleston on that day in 1830. She will be on display in Norfolk Southern Corporation's lobby at 1200 Peachtree Street along with a collection of the Charleston Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society's artifacts. The photographs below document her delivery to Atlanta under the capable management of Superior Transportation. She arrived in Atlanta at 3 a.m., Saturday, December 1st, and her placement in the lobby was completed by 5 a.m., following a classy display of engineering at its finest by Superior Transportation.
